Marlborough Sounds The Marlborough Sounds is a vast maze of sunken valleys, which form an amazing network of sheltered bays, calm waterways and idyllic scenery. The sounds include Queen Charlotte Sound, Pelorus Sound and Kenepuru Sound. Take a stunning walk or trek through Queen Charlotte Track, a 3 to 4 day walk through amazing native New Zealand bush.

Alternatively, explore the sounds by sea. With over 1,500 kilometres of coastline, the sounds offer deep coves, secluded bays, which are all perfect for sailing, fishing, diving and kayaking! If you're taking out your own boat, Marlborough has a great selection of marinas for you to stop in to.
